about

A year and half after his vocal debut, DC-based Outputmessage, aka Bernard Farley, returns with the Game Over EP. Veering away from the four-on-the-four electro house of his previous record, he employs 80s synth pop, disco, break-beat, Baltimore club, hip-hop, and even some of his old IDM stylings, covering a vast sonic territory in only six tracks. Even still, Farley's vocals take the show. Exhibiting a surprising range, from soaring falsettos to bellowing low notes, he continues to mature as a vocalist while still retaining the emotive earnestness heard on his previous work.
